03 Lancer engine transplant questions

Hey guys

Shouting from Johannesburg South Africa

My lancer has reached 300 000kms and the standard 1.6 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SOHC 4G18 engine needs either a complete rebuild or its time to upgrade!

Here in South Africa we don’t have as much access to the nice toys you guys have in the states, uk or aus but I can get a4G63 motor...

What am i in for in terms of modifications? Will the motor be a strait fit? Will my gearbox be a strait fit? Clutch? harness? ecu? management system?

If anyone can give me some advice or guide me in the right direction - i will greatly appreciate it.

I don’t know much about engines - I just want it to sound awesome and eat up the tarmac - but that being said, I don’t want to have to take the car back to the shop for repairs once a month as it will still be a everyday drive...
