I have been looking at swapping a dohc on my 94 and I haven't really found and information on weather I can or cannot change the orientation of the cd5a 1.8 ltr dohc to run on my 4g94. Does anyone know if this is possible weather custom work or not. I'm fairly new at engine work to this extent. Any help would be helpful thanks.

I don't think so...if the engine is reversed then the camshaft would face the wrong way...custom machining heads would be very costly...haven't some used the 4G93 GDI head?

Yeah, I've read about people using the gasoline direct injection 93 which I wanna say is the 93e but don't quote me on that. I just cannot beleive that right now I can buy the damn cylinder head for cd5a for 300 shipped no problems with it at all. The guy just bought it for someone and they never came to get it. So I'm just like thinking to my self maybe I can just flip it or spin it around so that the cams are on the left if your looking at the engine. My thoughts are that it's just a it in one side exhaust on the other. Now I know its not just that simple of a process I'm sure there is reasoning for the orientation of the head but I'm just thinking maybe it could work idk that's why I'm reaching out to people who have more mitsu dirt on their hands than I do. How much would making this thing work cost me?
