Question Cats

I am aware that the Lancer has to Catalytic Converters. i purchased the test pipe from RRm. Is The second cat in the downpipe or is it in the exhaust manifold ????

the 1st if after the header or before the downpipe, and the 2nd is after the downpipe

u get rid of the 1st cat by upgrading the headers

*cough* WHAT?

The header/exhaust manifold connects to the downpipe. There is nothing between them.

The first cat is inside of the stock exhaust manifold. The second will be replaced by your new test pipe.

The first cat is kind of part of the exhaust manifold/downpipe.

i just purchased a test pipe as well.. for the guys that have both test pipe and catback exhaust (i have a greddy evo v.1)... how does it sound?.. and do you feel the difference??

**** gonna be loud and smell nasty haha get a ressonator tho.. make it sound like a nice deep throaty sound

Go head Dave!! , If i'm not mistaken our Greddy Exhausts come with resonators already attached to them. I'm not 100% sure cuz it's been a while since i've done some work on the bottom of my car.
