warranty?struts, wheel bearing,tie bar,control arm?
hello,I placed a post before regarding a problem with noise coming from my front
suspension(noise passing a bump or dip, metal with metal hitting)
people think possible problem is:
wheel bearing, struts, control arm, tie bar.
I'm a second owner with 33k miles, never took my car to a dealer; I went to a shop for brakes and rotors work;3 months later (today) I wen to the dealer to check for the noise on the front suspension hopping the warranty is valid; they asked if I took my car to a shop
for a brake job, they think thats the problem blaming the shop
"FRONT BRAKES BAKING PLATE NOISE" I explained that this noise It's been
on my car for 8 months.
they just adjusted the backig plates free of charge. I don't think thats the problem.
To continue with the warranty to 60k m. they said I have to take it for a mayor
tune up (and i think is time) they charge $390.0 I have 10 days to think about it, after that warranty is void.
my cuestion is:do I go keeping the warranty?
Does some body knows if the wheel bearing, struts, control arm, tie bar
is under warranty?
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>
and another thing, I think my transmision it's grinding on 2nd gear
just when the car is cold most of the time.
I hope all you uderstand my history because my lenguage is short.
thanks in advance! :

Do the tuneup. It's the one where they change the timing belt. YOU NEED THAT DONE.
All of those should be under warranty, assuming you figure out which one is broken. They're not going to replace anything until they know what's wrong...
Car grinding in 2nd gear - MT or AT? Either way, 60k is a good time to change the transmission fluid (gear oil for MT, ATF for AT). That might do a lot of good for you.

$390 is well worth extending that warranty, and after all, you are'nt the original owner so you would have the piece of mind knowing that if something major goes wrong you are covered.

you should be able to. if you still have your bumper to bumper, bring it to them and give them a problem your having like suspension noise creeks clucks etc. they should tell you you need new struts and itll be replaced under warranty.
