Evo Vs. Lancer seatbelts??

Ok, so I finally got my Evo Recaro's in my lancer. I went to buckle up, and the seatbelt wont fit into the holster thing that came attached to the Recaros. Did really design the Evo's seatbelt different than that of the Lancer? I know there are people on here with Recaro's in their lancer and I was wondering how they were able to do!? If you know how, or know of somebody who did something to make it work - PLEASE POST!! I cant be driving around without my seatbelt... so I need this fixed ASAP!! Thanks

If they dont fit the only other option is to buy a 4pt harness or get some evo seat belts. Maybe you can try switching the clicker with your old one??

yup, I figured the only option would be to swap the clicker deal off the stock seats. I spoke with somebody on here and thats what they said they did... any idea how to pull the clickers off the stock seats??

It's just a big bolt that holds the female end of the seatbelt onto the seat...I unattached the bolt and attached to my Corbeaus... I just clipped the wire attached to the driver's side buckle and now the annoying seatbelt light does not come on...

Good luck

I thought you just put the recaros on the stock Lancer seat brackets and used that to mount the seatbelt to. If you haven't talked to Deltron, give that a try. He just put Evo seats in his Lancer a couple months ago.
