trunk lid

i was wondering (however have already ordered and is in transit) if an evo trunk lid will fit on an 04 lancer lancer oz. cuz i wanted the flat trunk w/o the liscense plate and i didnt want a spoiler at all so i ordered thelid which cost $0.. helps to know people and i know the evo ones straight and the lancer one is round which is not a problem cuz im gettin an evo 7 rear bumper conversion for an 03 lancer(old body style) so it should work im 80% sure. if ne one knows for sure please let me know

the trunk does not fit. Completely different trunks. Gonna take a lot of fabbing I imagine to fit the rear bumper on right. That would be the only way to make it work. I am not sure if the rear quarters are the same. Im assuming they are. the main difference is the rear bumper area. They make a trunk lid for the 04+ lancer that is flat across with no license plate. I believe Cerious Performance makes it.

i am fabricating. the whole is pretty much being fabbed. im stipping the panels and replacing the rear doors for evo body panels so the trunk is a must but for some reason how they set up the crash point i cant fit the actual evo rear bumper. and no im not tryin to make the car something its not cuz it has a 4g63 in it. i swappped a 99 eclipse gst motor and trans into so i figured y stop there. i was however hoping thr trunk would be the easy part. i guess not. thanx for the 2 cents bro.

Well, seeing that ALOT of custom body work will be done here, I don't see how you can't make it work. Good luck, and yes...PICS PLZ!

If you want to use the 02-03 or evo trunk lid, you have to use the 02-03 taillights and the 02-03 bumper or alter an evo one. I've seen some done and they don't look to bad. The quarter panels are the same. Some people over seas have the 02-03 that have the 04-06 rear on them. They came factory that way.
