Question about OEM subwoofer
Hi all,
I'm wondering if I could just buy the OEM subwoofer that come in the sun and sound package and install it in my truck. I have the stock MP3 radio, not the navi unit or the 6 CD changer (If it does exist? I think it come with the Sun and Roof).
I looked in my trunk and it does look like I have all the connector to plug the subwoofer. I'm asking that because I'd like to have a subwoofer but I don't feel like having a big subwoofer that will take all the space in my trunk and I don't want to mess to much with installing an after market subwoofer system. I'm also not looking for mind blowing bass so stock setup will cut it fine.
But before buying anything I want to be sure that it's doable. Did some tried it here?
Thank You to all that will reply and sorry if it's not in the right section but I don't know where to post this since there is no audio/video section here.

I should look with my dealer if I can buy the amp and the sub and if it could work with the DE and ES radio. But it will probably not worth it those part must cost quite alot.

I had my stock subwoofer replaced under warranty a couple months ago and I *think* my dealership quoted me $300 installed (had it not been covered), but don't quote me on it.

I have the sun and sound pakage in my car and the amp sits under the driver side seat. Also I was researching that if the sub were to blow that the amp can only power the OEM sub. Why? I don't know, but you can go to the dealer and they can order the amp and sub for you.
