Temperature control knob stuck - 02 Lancer
Is there a step by step instruction anywhere for how to fix this?
I have to reach under the dash to manually turn it from hot to cold.
Kind of a pain and the wifes *****in..

I searched and only found a topic where they just cut a bunch of stuff out of the way to fix it then just melted it back in place. No diy write up or anything like that from what my results were.

I read about that on a yahoo questions site. I'm just hoping for some instructions to get the part and install it without hacking anything up.

I had to fix this when I bought my 03 Evo used. The hardest part is the position you'll have to get into to reach the gear mechanism under the dash. Not hard at all. Good luck!

I'm having the same issue. Installed new plastic gears and cable, no change. Ordered the blend door and will be yanking the dash out next week. The mega guide had a lot of helpful info!
