thats optional, but we use the master cylinder from 3000gt with abs which has 1 1/6" bore compared to non-abs has 1" bore

I know that. And you know that.

But most of the people upgrading their brakes DON'T know that. And they won't listen to us - "bigger is better" they say.

definately... i just figured i would get out all the questions i could think of why we had ppl around to answer them.

I wont be upgrading the rears at all or to a bigger kit (more then likely) as a nice set of rotors and pads are all you need on the lancer. However that double piston caliper i think would be nice.

Main point is... YOU CANT STOP FASTER THEN YOUR TIRES ALLOW NO MATTER HOW BIG OF BRAKES YOU HAVE!

post thought... just b/c you are turbo doesnt mean you need bigger brakes, power has nothing to do with the need for bigger brakes.

hey im just giving info for those who wants it.

If you guys don't want to do a brake swap then don't even bother posting here.

Please post something useful.

My point is let them do what they want to do with their money.

We all agree on that. We're all just trying to get the info out there. No worries.

so RPW makes a rear disc brake conversion for our lancers...but my question is that can I just source the parts myself?

I need mirage calipers and mirage rotors. Obviously brake lines and e-brake hardware.

What about the brake caliper bracket?

Sorry if this stuff seems beginner but i'd much rather do this myself even if really doesn't make a difference like some people are saying...looks way cooler than drums.

thanks

I appreciate the honestly but still I would like to understand how the kit goes together...sometimes people get lucky and come across a good car on ebay or in the local junkyard.

Can anybody chime in on how the kit is brought together...what parts from the mirage do I need?

thanks

Thanks for the suggestion...but my question is that since I have an OZ I'd rather not do the redrilling...I want a full swap over...just parts

What rotor do I use now that has the 4 x 114 pattern? Also the 2 piston caliper that RPW is using on their front and rear kit...what car is that from? I am assuming i just use the caliper bracket from the new caliper and that will bolt up just fine?

What up the parking brake assembly?

I know this has been probably discussed before but since we have this new forum, might as well have a full knowledge transfer
