Bondo Body Filler and side skirts

Do u guys know if i can mold my side skirts to the body using Bondo?
I don't want the gap to be seen between the body and the side skirts.
Thanks

i think you going to have sand the paint off a little and use fiberglass first sand that smooth and the body filler...

yea thats what i was planning on doing...
mount the side-skirts then instead of using the crappy double sided tape maybe i can just mold it to the actual body.
but my question is can i use bondo body filler?

You can, but you gotta be pretty good at sanding it. I would take it too a collision shop or body shop to ask for a estimate first.

You can't really use bondo to mold plastic/fiberglass side skirts to your sheet metal body. The weather will mess with the body causing it to shrink or stretch depending on the extreme weather (which Chicago has alot of) and the bondo will end up cracking on you from the constant stress.

Well you can go around asking most body shops how they would do it. But very few can get them to work properly. Since you live in Streamwood, check out this place in Schaumburg called VIP Auto. It's on Wise Rd. and Schaumburg road. Guy named Mr. Jung owns it. Ive seen some of their jobs on a 350z and Lexus and so far through one winter I haven't seen a problem.

535 W. Wise Rd. It' like a little strip mall. A little before the Comcast building.
I used to live in Elk Grove, I'm in military now and have my car out here with me

Yea I spent first couple months without it. Worst 3 months of my life. And a very long drive here.
very close to that place. It's more on the corner of Mitchell Blvd and Wise Rd. If you're traveling North from Roselle Rd. and make a left on Wise it's a few blocks down on your left. Should be a Speedway across the street kiddie corner from it.
