I said "stock size" not "stock" . . . You don't HAVE to keep the stock sizing, but it's a good idea. Should fit fine, and the speedo will stay correct.

45 is low-profile enough if you ask me. Lower than that, you risk horrible ride quality and popping tires when you hit potholes.

This was verified by a canadian online tire dealer and tire rack. So most hondas and mazda steelies will work. Some old toyota jeeps might not, offset is not close. This info is mainly for people going to the scrap yards which will save you 50-75% of the cost of steelies. Most online shops due not have the info for 2008 models, and this is handy info. Mazda3 specific steelies are the same for the Lancer.
WOW lol... i didn't even know my bro posted here... lol i was surprised when I saw that

I'm looking to purchase these wheels in gold for my Graphite Grey GTS. I can't determine what size and offset to use to ensure a proper fitting. I was thinking 18 x 7.5 with a +45 offset. Does anyone know if this will fit?

Yeah, that'll fit perfect. That's very close to the stock GTS wheel size, so I'm 100% sure it'll fit on any 2008 Lancer.

is this even possible?

Should be fine. It's not too big a change. But you probably want to drop the profile a bit to match.

I have a set of 225/55/16 tires to go on, and I've heard they "should" fit OK. TireRack seemed to think they didn't, but some EvoM folks said they'd work.

I was thinking of getting rims, and wanted to know if 18x8 with offset of 40 fit? and if it does would 215/45/18 tires fit on them?

Should fit OK. Only 1 inch wider than stock, so I don't see a problem. The tires should stretch to fit.

+40 is getting close to the edge, though. If they hit the calipers, be prepared to buy some spacers.

The GTR concavity face on Advan racing wheels have a minimum with of 8.5 inches. I dont think this will sit well with our cars. The offset and bolt pattern are perfect but I think the rim size will cause a rubbing issue. Anyone able to slap on an 8.5 inch wide wheel?

as for buying new lug nuts.. all that matters is that the Lug nut thread/pitch - 12 x 1.5 is the same right?

do we have to match the Lug pattern is 5x114.3 too?

Lug thread and pitch is all that matters BUT you have to make sure they match your wheels. Different wheels have different lugnut surfaces - flat, slanted, rounded, etc.

As for the lug pattern, the only part that matters for lugnuts is the 5 half. Because it means you have to make sure you buy 20 lugnuts.
