Moving Brake Pedal on an Automatic

Anyone heard of a replacement brake pedal arm or anyone moved their pedal over on an automatic (if so, how)? Maybe its just me or the way I drive (alot of lfb) but my brake pedal seems to close to the gas.

Try buying one of those dress up pedal kits. Put the gas one on the right way, and then move the brake one over slightly to the left. That should help out a lot.

that's a good idea (XtremeEvo), other than that, I don't know what can be done, unless you feel like cutting the brake pedal on one side. Maybe a brake pedal froma stick would fit, but that probably wouldn't move it over any. Also, lfb is going to feel weird, because the car is designed for rfb, but I got used to it.

Well... I took the lever off, the bottom half was bent to the right about 3-4inches from center. So I put it in the vise and bent it straight, but the pedal was now angled, the only way to fix it was by cutting it off and re-welding it straight, touched it up w/some black spray paint and it looks good as new.

yeah i have a wide *** foot and it bugs me that they are soo close.

i am gonna take the plastic cover off, cut an inch off each side of the metal under neith. then cut the plastick boot that goes over it down the middle and take out 2 inches then super glue it back on. then the pedal will be narrower and not need as much work

why not just replace it with a brake pedal from a manual lancer?

I wear boots most of the time, and I keep catching the brake pedal with my gas foot. Short of sawing a inch off the brake pedal I don't know what to do.

Now that I thought about it, that most likely would not move the pedal to the left. It's probably the same distance from the gas as the auto, but if there was a difference, the manual would have it closer in order to make more room for the clutch. So that would be a step int he wrong direction. Oh well.
