I drive a 2013 Lance ES and I'm looking into some suspension upgrades. I dont have a lot of money so i was just going to get some lowering springs and some strut tower bars. Was just wondering if i would be doing any damage to the stock struts by compressing them 1"-1.5"

Should be ok, with time you might wear the struts but that isnt too big of a drop were it causes the strut to be compressed always.

I am planning on getting a suspension set up. The famous car YouTuber, "TJ Hunt," used to run these on his BRZ a while back. They are adjustable coil overs and the are cheap, yet reliable. Here is the link to the site where they are the cheapest by far.

Lancer ES does not have a strut tower bar?!
Do this first! I drove without mine for a week - and could NOT wait to get it back on!


Cheap suspension mod? Buy used RA springs (see FS section) for slightly improved spring rate.
