NEED HELP, BROKE MY AXLE!!! Mechanics please help...

Ok here's my problem I was driving down the street and hit a big turn going like 40-50mph, anyways i swerved and hit the curb, it broke my axle & control arm.. I have only had the damn car for 3 weeks, bought it used from the dealer, anyway i'm shocked that this broke so easily, my mirage never did this when i curb crashed it.. anyway question i have is my axle popped out.. and was just checking if i could just put it back on or if i need to get it replaced, here's some pics to show exactly what happened to it...

so can i just put the boot back and just replace the control arm since it is broken? thanks for all help in advance!!!!!!!!!!

it should be fine.... make sure there arent any pieces missing where you tore the boot. if everything is there, then you should be able to pick up a replacement boot at your local auto store. should be like $3-$10 for the boot depending on the store. and yeah your definately going to have to buy a new control arm.

Ok good, the reason i was asking is beacuse i thought the axle connected to something instead of just putting the boot on and it just sitting there.. but if i dont need an axle and can just reattatch the boot. then i'm set! thanks for your help man!!!! MUCH appreciated!

He knows how to break apparently. It's his braking that could use help.

Good luck. Doesn't look like a fun repair, but then again...doesn't look TOO bad.

What a fool! Learn how to drive, then talk to us next week! You should not be hitting curbs at high speed...get a clue, then get back!
