New clutch, need advise
Hey folks. I'm going to buy a new clutch.
http://www.amazon.com/Southeast-clutch-Clutch-Stage-Mitsubishi-Lancer/dp/B00PM23QPC#featureBulletsAndDetailBullets_secondar y_view_div_1439252622858
It appears to be a good quality clutch with excellent reviews. It does include a new slave cylinder. Is this OK to install in my vehicle? I don't see any reason why not. I don't know of what clutch is in it. I just know that it's been with it since I got it (154k through 295k). It's a stage 2 clutch which shouldn't matter, right?

I'd go with a better known company such as "exedy" or "act". I believe exedy provides the oem clutch to mitsu? Definitely go with a mitsu slave cylinder though. I've read bad things about people going with the non-mitsu slave/ tob. I'm running a act clutch and so far so good.

I run a stage 2 clutch on 14-16psi of boost...is there any reason you need a stage 3?
also I don't know if I would trust a stage 3 clutch that costs less than an OEM clutch kit...but if you want to give it a go, you may very well be the first, at least on this forum, to install and report back...

The reason I chose this clutch was because it was the first one Amazon suggested and it included the slave cylinder. I have no attachment to this clutch. Though stage 2 or 3 is appealing) enticing, I'm not married to it. Just engaged.
Any other suggestions are of course welcome. Exedy or ACT are what I've heard recommended?

I can't say that other clutch is good or bad, but i'll tell you, good or bad, with an organic full face street disc would be better for daily driving...stage 2 is not too bad, but still pretty harsh. I've had an ACT clutch exploded, so I can't say I recommend it...try clutchmasters or spec, never heard anything bad about them...or even an Exedy replacement clutch.
