Manual Transmission Swap

Does anyone know if you can swap a 03 lancer ES automatic tranny into a 5 speed? I've been looking for a 5 speed tranny for the swap but I cannot find one!

Would you just use the OZ rally 5 speed?

Ok but a 4G94 is a 4G94, should work on either ECU, same for the transmission. I know the 04+ models have an external slave but I know I have read a thread on here where someone put a transmission with an external slave on a 02-03 model and it worked..

The transmission mounts are different? As in they wont bolt up at all? even with the mount to go with your tranny depending on the year it is (02-03 or 04-07?)

The problem is not the engine, I know the engines are the same. The problem is your transmission and ecu. A manual tranny is not gonna work with an auto ecu, because the auto ecu is gonna start to look for sensors that aren't needed in the manual tranny. The Manual ECU has a different pin configuration than the auto so you can't swap it. Unless you can reflash the auto ECU to work as a manual ECU which from my understanding you can't.... the swap is simply impossible unless you are willing change your wiring harness.

My understanding is that they're different and they're located in different places. I'm not sure about that one.

Everything I'm telling you is based on what I read on this very forum. If somebody knows more about the swap please do say cause I'm still interested in doing mine if its possible.
