2009 lancer gts no clutch pedal
thought i would post this so if other search... it may help.
i bought a used 2009 gts and had been driving it about 3 months and went to leave for work one morning and the clutch pedal went to the floor.... no pedal.
i couldnt even get it out of gear.
after further investigation the brake fluid was low. outer visual inspection it looked ok because of the stains, but it was low.
basically the since the fluid was so low, i pumped air down in the slave cylinder and "no clutch".
the fix was filling it up, sucking all the air out with a minivac, and waaalaaaa...
good as new.

possibly.. but i didnt see anything.
also, the pads had been replaced so i have no idea if whoever replaced them bleed them or not.
or if they sucked out the fluid in the resevoir thinking it was high...
anyway, i hope this got it fixed.
ill post more if it doesnt.

update.... had the issue again.
car sat for 4 days, got in it, no pedal.
upon further inspection, it looks like the plastic bleeder valve on the slave cylinder is leaking.
going to bleed tomorrow and then make sure its good an tight.
then ill wrap a towel around it with a ziptie and check it every day to see if its still leaking.
if so, i guess ill see if you can buy a replacement plastic valve for it.

update.... started noticing fluid leaking from bell housing.. = concentric slave cylinder leaking.
got the exedy oem clutch replacement as well as a new mitsu bleeder valve assembly.
pulled the tranny today and replaced everything and it had been leaking for awhile.
summarized job
1. removed all the "stuff" on the top side. Had to just unbolt all the linkage and zip tie it up because i didnt have the special tools for the links.
2. removed the rear tranny mount, upper tranny mount, and core support mount (with a jack under it... you know)
3. pulled both wheels and pulled both half shafts.
4. took tranny out. Had to pull out then kinda spin counter clockwise and then come down. the thing hits the rear support like crazy and you have to be patient and work with it.
5. replaced clutch and slave cylinder
6. went in the opposite as obove
we had a real bear getting the shaft lined up. The tranny shaft has no pin that lines up everything, so you have to hit the splines just right.
At first we thought we were going to have to pull the whole motor to get it out... but you dont. you just have to finess it.
