Hesitate to shift

What's up guys so I have a 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer es with a 4g94 engine automatic so it runs great perfect smooth but the only problem it seems like every single time I floor it it hesitates to shift to the next gear close to red line so I was told an been doing research that it's the speed sensor but the question is which is it? Is it the input or the output speed sensor thanks for your time.

when you floor it? that seems pretty normal, wot, makes the vehicle try and hold the gear longer to extract as much power out of it as it can

The speed sensor is located under the intake manifold (on the battery side), its on the transmission. Like Jimbo74 said, it may be normal when doing a wot pull that it will probably go to the next gear later. If you watch Demon's drag videos you can hear his car shift later.
