I was installing an injen CAI into my car last night, and when I started my car again, my rockford fosgate sound system is about 2 times quieter than it used to be. I had to turn it up to about 28 to even feel the subwoofer or hear the music well. I did unplug the negative terminal on the battery for the install then reconnected it afterwards. This is the only thing I could think of that may have caused problems. If anyone knows what may be causing this or has experienced a problem similar let me know. It was 113 yesterday so I thought it may be the heat killed my sub, but it was the entire sound system and not just the sub. Any help is much appreciated! I want to avoid taking my car into a shop at all costs.

Your sound settings may have been reset. Did you re-adjust your bass, sub lvls?

they may have been changed when i bought the car but no i did not.. i do not even know how to do that, but youre probably right. that probably happened when i unplugged the battery. i was not aware you could adjust settings without the nav. i'll look in my manual and see if i can fix it. There is a popping noise coming from my rear door midrange speakers though. maybe theyre blown and ive just never noticed it
