I notice few days ago tha when my lancer 02 hit pass 3/4 rpm lose power like if something stop the air or fuel flow but when i release the gas for a second and accelerate again the problem stops. I had replace the the head gasket and also took head to machine shop to get fix. But this problem happen like a month after the head and cylinder were fix. I had took it to the mechanic and e says tha may be the exhaust monifold he also notice tha the crank pulley wooble a little bit. Also notice a ticking sound on the engine bay. First thing I would do is pull the belts off the crank pulley and see if its loose. Then I would get your cat checked to see if it is clogged. I would also check your fuel strainer on the bottom of your fuel pump and run some injector cleaner through. Usually the symptoms you are experiencing have to do with either lack of fuel or blockage in the exhaust.
