Steering Wheel Sounds Stripped
My Son calls said he hit a speed bump pretty fast while turning and now steering wheel is of center 180 degrees.I get in it take it for spin and turning to right it feels like steering wheel or rack is stripped? The horn don't work and srs light is on so I figure the clock spring is bad but would that allow the wheel to move 180? Or am I looking at bigger issues ?

I just jacked it up put on jack stands. With the key in on position I rotate the steering rack lock to lock from the left front wheel and I get popping stripping sound going to the right.
