who would buy new honda civic si

I went to the store and looked at the newer car mags out and read and seen the new civic si. I currently have a 03 evo 8 fairly modded and a 95 civic si hatch w/ killer suspension set up but still have the to slow SOHC motor. My daily drive (gas 31mpg). I don't see why going from evo8 to evo9 a good choice because by looking at both. they are almost twins (except for the motor)

I would rather wait and get the evo 10 with the new look. The new si has a new look and a killer motor with good gas mileage. Anyone out there thinking the same as I am about the si as a daily driver?????

yeah i would definatly get one as a daily driver, a freind of mine with a 2g gsx is actually really looking at getting one as his daily driver. it seems like a great car for the job.

I think it's nice. Especially stepped up interior.

i would but if i were to get another car it would be the hybrid civic so i can save all the $$$$ i can with gas for the evo. The si would make me miss my evo to much forcing me to take that over the si. If i wanted an econo box i would buy strictly a car for that reason.

the civics si also has the option for navagation. I do a lot of driving and that would be a big plus. also with a few bolt on or even a good turbo kit all I can say is the srt4 guys will . A standard 8 psi kit from greddy pushes the k20 to 260 whp. and by reading the k20 forums they are boosting fairly safely up to 15 psi pushing over 300 whp and getting good MPG.

They are nice, but i'll be giving up my lancer later on, then they drop the 6speed CRX Si with the k20.

nope!

The Si will get the same gas mileage as the type-s (20-23mpg), that's slightly higher than the evo. Just stick with your current cars.

EDIT:

That is a sweet picture, kinda of reminds of the tC hideway stereo deck.

doesn't the civic cost like 3k less? i'd get one definitely, but only as a second car. and i'd rather have the civic over the rsx for the front lsd

I'd definitely buy one, but without the 18" wheel option. Road and Track gave it a great 'first drive' review.
