SEMA is just around the corner. This is the time of year we all look forward to. SEMA showcases some of the newest and best aftermarket automotive parts in the world.

Vendors from all over the world show-up with parts in hand to reveal their newest inventions and product lines to the automotive industry. With this, manufacturers and vendors alike showcase these parts in some of the nicest top of the line car builds that the world has ever seen.

This year we bring you some of our own builds which we're very excited about, but moreover, we just want to bring you some unadulterated car **** for you to enjoy. It may not be specifically Evo coverage, but it's some great car coverage!

So without further adieu, please sit back and enjoy our SEMA 2014 coverage!!

Varis North America Kamikaze-R GTR
To start things off, we wanted to give you guys a sneak peak at a major build we have coming your way. Right from our own shops here in Hawthorne, California, our customer brought us a pristine R35 GTR to work on.

This year at SEMA, you will be witness to the first ever Varis Kamikaze-R wide body kit on our customer's R35 GTR here in the US, thus we appropriately dubbed this car the Varis North America Kamikaze-R GTR. With over 1500 HP, this track monster will surely be a big attention grabber at the event. More to come on this monster of a build so stay tuned...



Liberty Walk Porsche 997
Next on the docket we cannot wait to get more news and coverage of this new Liberty Walk 911 997 wide body kit!

This beautiful kit not only enhances the look of the car, but also widens the track for maximum surface area contact to the road. Nakai-San better look out. This is one wide body Porsche that might give RWB a run for it's money.

This is one of our most favorite and eagerly anticipated builds we are looking forward to seeing. More on this car as we attend SEMA...



Rocket Bunny Lexus RC-F
Finally, this year has been the year of wide bodies for sure. Up next is another creation from the famed tuner shop Rocket Bunny.

Extending their reach to the luxury performance platforms, Rocket Bunny is set to reveal their Lexus RC-F Rocket Bunny wide body kit. This new kit definitely screams luxury track performance and we can't wait to get more photos of it.

Very good times!! Although you definitely need your walking shoes to see everything. The sheer size of the event can wear you out. Amazing event though.

**Happy Halloween Everybody!!**

Today we have some more news on the SEMA home front.

I know this next post isn't Evo news specifically, but since SEMA isn't about just one car, we thought it appropriate to share the full spectrum of platforms, parts, builds, and events associated with SEMA.

This last Wednesday we had the honor of being invited to the Scion Tuner Challenge Pre-SEMA kick-off event where they debuted some nicely built and highly modified Scion's while keeping the price of the build under $15,000 not including the car itself. The show stoppers were three amazing FR-S builds by Super Street, Speed Hunters, and GT Channel.

Celebrating their 10th year anniversary of the coveted Tuner Challenge, Scion partnered with these great publications to make Scion Tuner Challenge history.

Some of our team attended the Pre-SEMA unveiling event in Los Angeles, California where we were pampered with drinks and appetizers throughout the night. All three Scion FR-S builds are incredible to say the least and each had unique qualities that set them far apart from each other.


Super Street FR-S:
The Super Street team built the very first ITB (individual throttle body) FR-S in the United States and the clean wire tuck and yellow stitching in the interior was definitely just some of many details, that made this car even more seamless. Bulletproof did help sponsor this build and we definitely love the finished product!





SpeedHunters FR-S:
Speedhunters went with a TRD, retro race car themed design. It’s has a very classic look with a modern twist. The louver hood was one of my favorite details on the car just because it’s so unique. The car is supercharged with the first Cosworth Stage 2.0 supercharger kit. It’s definitely a great build that needs to be seen in person!





GT Channel FR-S:
GT Channel teamed up with Mine’s and MotoIQ. The car’s theme was to try and stay true to the 86’s Japanese roots with some beautiful Volk Racing ZE40’s in matte blue gunmetal, Recaro seats, TRD side skirts, side fenders and TRD HID headlights and even an Esprit front lip spoiler. The car is a beauty, very clean and well executed!





The judges of the Scion Tuner Challenge competition definitely have a difficult decision on choosing a winner. Each team delivered a stunning car and all three are so unique. Let’s send each team some good luck wishes!

**Monday Bump!!**

We have a special treat for all of you! Last weekend we made our final completion on our R35 GTR projects going to SEMA this year. All together we had 3 fully built R35 GTR's done from top to bottom with some amazing parts.

We have never been happier or more excited about what we've produced. Each R35 GTR that we've built have their own unique designs and characteristics that make them all incredible and stand out on their own.

We spent sleepless nights finalizing and completing the builds and on the last night we took to the streets for one last photo shoot where we were able to capture some incredible photos. The rough days and long nights were well worth the end product as you'll see below.

For your viewing pleasure, we introduce to you our Bulletproof Automotive GTR SPL (Street Premium Lightweight), the Varis North America Kamikaze-R GTR, and our very own special GT1 Inspired custom wide body GTR!

Bulletproof Automotive GTR SPL (Street Premium Lightweight)
Fitted with the full dry carbon Overtake kit, our very own shop GTR has every amazing JDM piece on the car to make even the top tuners in Japan jealous. From the incredible full STTI titanium Amuse x Overtake exhaust to the special edition Advan GT's in our very own Frozen Carbon finish, this GTR is sure to please the masses. Varis North America Kamikaze-R GTR
Next up we have the Varis North America Kamikaze-R wide body GTR. This is the newest GTR wide body kit made by the famed performance aero manufacturer that brought you the Amazing Varis Evo X wide body kit. From the authentic JDM aero kit to the incredible Nismo Red Volk TE37 Ultra wheels, the concept for this GTR stays true to the JDM theme. With 1500hp at the ready, this GTR isn't just a trailer queen, it's a true track beast. More info to come on this one as well...


Custom GT1 Inspired Wide Body GTR
Finally we have a very special treat for you all. Our customer came to us asking for something a little different. Something that was going to really set his GTR apart from the rest. With track inspiration in mind, we developed a fully custom GT1 inspired wide body kit for this GTR. We fitted the GTR with straight exhaust side pipes exiting out of the side skirts, a massive Esprit GT wing, Varis and Phoenix Power aero parts, and some incredible ADV.1 wheels to top things off. With 1100hp under the hood, this track edition GTR is one of the biggest projects we've ever taken on and it couldn't have turned out any better.

**Tuesday Bump!**

Hey guys, we've got a lot more content to post up in the coming days of SEMA. For now, enjoy some more of our recent builds.

Here we have an incredible rear view shot of our interior in our new Tesla. Unplugged Performance is a new sub-brand of Bulletproof Automotive and we've put in countless man hours developing new parts for the Tesla so finally we get to see the fruits of our labor. Check out these incredible carbon seat backs for the Tesla. They are literally like works of art.


We've also partnered with one of the most iconic well known factory and aftermarket wheel manufactures in the world, BBS wheels, to develop specific wheels for the Tesla which are branded as the Unplugged Performance lineup of wheels... more to come on these in the later posts.


The interior of the Tesla is awe inspiring. It's definitely one of our most favorite points of the Tesla. We put our customization skills to the test to develop a fully upgraded interior for this Tesla. We have the capability to modify any interior to this level. Full alcantara and carbon interior really sets things off in here.

**Mid Week Bump!!**

Hey guys,

We're at the beginning days of SEMA 2014 and we've got quite the treat for you today.

As we made our way towards the doors of SEMA, we were able to grab a few shots of some gorgeous cars fitted with the latest Rocket Bunny gear. We also got a quick pre-show glimpse of some the cars inside the convention center too so below we have a list of some of those cars for you to look at.

To start off, we know some of you are on the fence about the new Rocket Bunny FD3S RX-7 kit, but in all honesty, it looks pretty good. It's all a matter of perspective and for us, this is just a nice kit. Outside we ran into one of the first Rocket Bunny RX-7's getting some sun before SEMA started.








As we moved inside we got a glimpse of another FD3S RX-7 with a Rocket Bunny kit. This one had a gorgeous deep red paint job with gold plated accents all over. This was definitely one of the more flamboyant RX-7's so far and we liked it.




Here we bring you a very highly anticipated kit from Rocket Bunny. The new S15 Rocket Bunny wide body kit. Although many of us in the states can only dream of owning a legit JDM S15 Silvia, there are many of those outside of the U.S. who own one and to be quite honest, there are a few in the states running around too but let's just keep that between us.


Who can forget about the mighty Godzilla. Although the R35 GTR Rocket Bunny kit has been out for a while now, it's always a sight to actually see this kit on a car in person. We ran into the brightly painted red Greddy x Rocket Bunny GTR sitting pretty waiting for spectators to snap some photos.




Outside we have our very own customer/friend's gorgeous blue (previously white) Overtake International x Rocket Bunny x Entirely Custom GTR. With an Overtake International front bumper, Rocket Bunny Wide Fenders, and custom GT3 inspired side skirts with side pipes, this GTR is just outrageous. We love the new color change too!


Finally we want to share with you one of our most favorite Rocket Bunny inspired kits from Sarto Racing. The Sarto Racing CLK Mercedes Wide Body Kit was a collaboration between Sarto Racing and Kei Miura of Rocket Bunny. This wide body kit was a huge attention grabber at all the events. Keep an eye out for this CLK as we continue to bring more coverage at this years 2014 SEMA show.
