Clutch Pack Replacement At Dealership

Has anybody here had their clutchpack replaced by a dealership? I'm supposed to be having mine replaced under warranty soon... the dealer told me Mitsubishi is now allowing them to change clutch packs instead of the entire transmission. He showed me the part and it's literally a box with the metal housing that contains all the clutch discs.

You think this is a straight forward repair? Has anybody had this done before. As far as I can see they are going to pull out the old clutch pack... slap in the new one and bolt the transmission back into the car.

I want the clutch pack replacement... but a piece of me is worried they'll eff things up... lol So basically how hard is this to do? And have you guys had this done before?

I would not recommend doing this yourself. I would say take it to a shop if you don't trust the dealership.

Yes

My clutch basket replaced 2 days ago in my 2010 mr under warranty one month
before expired .

until one year ago , mitsubishi replace all the transmission , but now they replace only the clutch basket .

And if i was you , and my car is under warranty , i dont touch any my myself .
Second i dont think that the dealership will give you the parts to do it in your self......

So the dealer changed my clutch pack and the transmission feels great now. The car no longer shudders when pulling away from a stop... clutch engagement is smooth and even all gear shifts feel smoother now.

What was the total price for the exchange? I doubt they will ever do that in the States. I might have to go Canada.
