Ok, that's waaaaay more complicated than reflashing the ECU with a GST base map. Can someone do a youtube video or a walkthrough please?

What's the benefit of running newer TCU maps?

I'm 54070007 from 2009. Is there something better out there?

It is easily reversible. Just choose the ralliart TCU file flash. B002.

The file you quoted is the ecu file. The TCU uses different files. For Ralliart we get SSport and Launch Control. For Evo there are slight changes between maps.

I tend to use the B001 for 2009/2010 , and the B151 for newer cars. For scientific reason other than they are the corresponding files for the Evo SSTs of those years

How does this work with the Ralliart in 5th and 6th gears? Since they're a different ratio than in the Evo. I read the were issues with the previous flash for the Ralliarts with rev hunting and so on.

Mission accomplished as I now have Super Sport and Launch Control.

I would just like to say thank you to everyone who helped make this happen and put together a how to that was easy to follow.

Awesome work gentlemen!

Worked like a charm. 👍
I wanted to use the teach in function on my 2008 as it had done 175k . It made a huge difference in shift quality . I recommend any one with high km /miles to do it.
P.S I flashed to 2011 rom no issues

I hate to quote myself but this hasn't been answered. I'm getting (as well as another member I talk to) a bit of rev hunting in 6th gear at around 45mph in all modes, auto/manual normal, sport, s-sport. Is this the clutches slipping? Will this wear them faster? I need answers. If so I can unflash then just reflash at the track.

And for the guys who've done this (I flashed it a week ago) are you noticing any weird shifting or anything. I haven't but I don't drive my car much since I'm only home weekends.

Last question. The teach in procedure. What's this for (besides if you replace the trans ect) someone had posted somewhere that they recommend it for higher mileage cars. Mine is, 78,xxx miles. Which teach in items did you select? Or did you do all of them? Thanks I'll go back to my corner now.

Smoothed out my changes. See above post
I did them all. Just went through the manual that is in the download. Mine is an 2008 evo so can not help with the ralliart questions. Good luck

I figured out the programming changes that I needed to make and have removed Super Sport / Launch control from my car. Installed the 2011 Ralliart TCU programming and did a complete SST Diaqueen fluid and Factory paper filter change for the 4th time.
