The gtr should be the jdm flagship not an evo. So i see the point.
but it wont change really the whole jdm scene.
Evo will be the true samurai from japan.

Yup! +1. I prefer the Evo, but the R35 is the hot thing in Japan right now and it may be best to let the CyberEvo retire on top. It sucks because I think Sierra Sierra would take it in WTA next year if they got a rematch, but I doubt they will. I think the R35 is going to have a lot of bugs to work out before it can match the performance of the CyberEvo. The weight difference between the platforms is HUGE. Then again, they have a lot more displacement to use, and the GT-R shifts insanely quickly with the dual clutch, so I expect they will eventually catch up to the performance of the old car.

That's been the rumor.

If I'm not mistaken, Tarzan was quoted after it's last event that it'd be hard to get it around Eastern Creek faster as the current power setup of the car is pretty much maxed out. It's insanely light and the aero is full Voltex. So, time for a new platform right...

If they give the GTR a 'Cyber' treatment like the Evo; it'll start with gutting the hell out of it then adding a ton of Voltex parts!

I was just reading modified's dec issue where the CyberEvo was at the world time trials. Still looks and runs amazing.

Noooooooo.

I have been following that car since they first came onto the scene. I have a giant poster of it on the wall of my cubical. HKS CT230R, Cyber Evo, and now Sierra Sierra Evo all retiring. It's a dark day for the Evo community.

Cyber doesn't really bother me, but it IS sad to hear that the SSE is retiring, if that's in fact true. Does anyone know why, or what they're moving onto?

Not bad, hope they can make the car less of a fat pig. R35's are growing on me and I'm a Corvette fan, that's not suppose to happen. = /

Cyber GT-R seems so wrong...but lots of folks are going to the GT-R platform because of the money it can generate.
