Federal 595rsr versus Advan Neova AD08

Has anyone tried both tires? If so, please give me some feedback. I've personally ran two sets of Federals, and the first set was absolutely fantastic, while the second set left me quite disappointed (compound changed sometime last year which is when I purchased the second set). I'd love to try the Neova's but if there isn't a massive difference then i'll probably go with the Federals again. It's tough with me to go with the Neova's only because they're more than double the price of the Federals.

Thanks in advance for the feedback

Any reason you are leaving the Star Specs and RS3s out?

^This.

Look into the Star Specs and don't look back.

If you otherwise like them, you could do a mild shave on them - they'll still probably be good to the cords.

I did like the AD08s when I had them, but didn't have a car that was as heavy or as fast back then, so I dunno...

They're good, but i'm almost positive that they won't be as good as the 595rsr's even after the compound change.

FTFY - My driving style makes the tire chunk.

If you're getting chucking - you're over driving and scrubbing the tires.

<< Raced TT on Star Specs.

Maybe I like getting my "drift on" sometimes Mr. Smike!!!

I'll only be going 595rsr, re11, or AD08, nothing else.

I've personally ran one set of star specs, one set of neova ad07's, one set or re01r's, one set of r1r's, two sets of 595rsr's , and two sets of rs3's.

I've used both. Found the 595RSR is a very good street tyre, but it doesn't have anywhere near the performance of the AD08. I can almost match laptimes with the AD08's as opposed to the A050 Medium compound - yes the car moves around a bit more, but its too be expected.

I don't get any delamination or tearing of the AD08's even with harsh track work in high air temps (36 degrees celsius+). NFI what the track temp was.

Awesome, thanks for the feedback. I just ordered my AD08's about an hour ago, and they will be arriving Friday morning I loved my AD07's, so hopefully I can say the same for the AD08's I will be running in temps ranging from 34 to 42 degrees celsius this weekend so we'll see how they hold up. Here in Southern California most of the tracks are in the middle of the state which is mostly desert like, so it's VERY hot during the summer, and my past 2-3 events have ranged anywhere from 90 to 105 degrees fahrenheit.

Yup, ad08's blow all other street tires out of the water. The old compound 595rsr's might still be better though, but the ad08's are definitely better than the current 595rsr's.
