A few of my autox runs from two weeks ago. Tires were greasy as the day went on.

Heh, definitely looks like you aren't quite at home dodging cones there. But good show getting out there and trying it vs track.

DEFINITELY NOT

its difficult to try and throw every driving theory/practice youve worked on for 5 years out the window! i autox'd my s2000 twice, this was the first time with the evo. a neutral-ish track setup drives terribly in a parking lot lol. and dtc-60's dont work for autox either...

i managed some respectable times and learned a bit and probably destroyed a pretty new set of tires...but not a terrible way to burn a sunday afternoon. i can live with 1 cone in 8 runs.

Here's a couple of my runs both within a second or so of FTD at their respective events.

how the heck did I not see this thread until now? here's a dump of my 2017 runs in the evo so far. 17x9.5s (from stock wheels) have been a huge improvement, need to work still on distance to cones. car's a touch pushier than I'd like, may make a few adjustments for the next event.

Been out of autocross in about year because of the car being down due to blown HG and preparation for our first baby. Worked on the car while it was down and finally had a chance to take her out...for it to die after half a run due to lose crank bolt taking out the CPS sensor..

But, shes fixed and ready to rock n roll again. Next weekend in Grenada MS!! C

Thank you!!. It blew the head gasket at this very site last year and the car has been down since. She's a brand new beast tho!!, a few kinks here and there I still need to work out on the car/ tune, mainly the driver. I think that it has another 1/2-1 second out there that I could picked up. But overall very pleased with the result.
The wife drove better than I did, my excuses are that I was too distracted with making sure the car is running properly and the heat index of 105 with full blast humidity was killing me. We missed FTD overall by under 1/10th of a second from a national trophy BSP Mazdaspeed Miata #26motorsports and its driver. C

i am genuinely struggling to transition to auto x from track driving in this car. it was much more straight forward when i had an s2000 and the car rotated.

I need to go to an evo school or something...this is genuinely bad driving on my part
