True, but I often select multiple sections when searching so it's not that much extra work to click on more sub-forum when searching.

Hi everyone!

First, thank you for your contributions to Evom and adding quality content to your Motor Sports discussions! We also appreciate the well thought out arguments for change to our classifieds.

There are two issues we must pay attention to, creating orphaned forums and further fragmenting the classifieds. I'm waiting for additional moderators to chime in with their opinions and options for addressing your request. I will followup once we have a staff consensus. Thanks!

Bob

Perhaps something that would show up in both places of which one would be original (I guess, one from the current market place) and other one as a link for all of the posts that would be also flagged as MOTORSPORT or something.

The main thing is to have something that is closely related to Motorsport section, so it will be distinguished from other stuff much easier. In the worst case, just having a label somewhere that we could search on for one particular type of posts (like MOTORSPORT for example) would be helpful too.

What if we could require a 15 or 25 or xx post minimum in the MS sub-forum in order to CREATE a topic in the M/S specific classifieds. That would keep the random guy who doesn't know what heat soak is, and posts in 10 different classifieds for his 17x8 wheels, JDM floor mats, and enormous turbos out and our loyal MS users in. Lets face it, most of us don't have interiors anymore anyway lol. Basically if you regularly contribute to the section then you get the privilege to gain from it. Could be the same counters used track Newbie/Evolving/Evolved with a sub-forum 15 specific context. If it makes sense to add an additional status throw that in too.

There really is no way to be picky about parts. Example if I wanted to sell a BOV - say the APS twin because thats among the handful that work for our purpose - then it wouldn't get lost with the other craptastic parts under the engine section. Or can appreciate why $5000 for tripple JRZ's is a steal. Because it's me people know anything coming off Fae is strictly used for racing purposes in some manner. Thus wouldn't require any fancy sales description, if your in here any amount of time then your already familiar and likely been looking for it already.

another thought i dont see thrown out there yet...

over on honda-tech in the road racing forum they make a new sticky at the top of the forum every month for items for sale. you are allowed to make your post once, no bumping, and its all there to be sifted through. if the item is still available the next month you are allowed to add it to the next months thread.

if we went that route your not fragmenting anything and it will just be at the top of this sub forum.

Hey everyone,

Based upon your sound arguments and longtime quality contributions to Evom Motorsports content, we have added a separate classified Motor Sports forum. I have located the forum at the bottom of the classifieds under the 'Other Cars' forum. The site minimum posts and time registered restrictions will apply. (15 posts and 15 days)

Please report any current, less than 3 months old, FS/WTB/WTT Motorsport parts threads and the moderators will move to your new digs. Thank you again for making Evom the premier Lancer website in the world!

Bob

Two that I noticed in browsing:

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sa...275-40r17.html

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sa...-calipers.html

Two additions - 1 you may want to adjust the post rules at the top to include "must be motorsports related" at a minimum. Second sticky link it from here (and sort our sticky's, vid's at the top tech at the bottom or something).
