For now I just had a guy make me up a set of 4 so I can keep making progress on the other parts I've been prototyping. The wheel spacers and top hats for people keep distracting me from progress but I just have one set of those left to finish for now then its back to arm machining.

I have to put the car back together for annual tech in two weeks but I do plan on initial testing ready for Crows Pro in 6 weeks.

Also leme know when you have the spindle with duct figured out, I'm having to raise my ride height to compensate in the meantime.

Well I have it figured out, tool paths and fixtures to cut all the uprights for the opened area (have done 3 of the sets already), and the ducts all designed. Only thing I don't have yet is the duct itself. Sent Carl the files to see if his guys can make it from sheet metal easier than me making a die for crushing a pipe to the right shape.

Posting pic in Carls thread because he'll have this same setup on Pikes Peak Hill Climb. But this is the duct and the open channel after clearance. Duct is 2.5" and nollij here verified they clear his axle and brake. He just needs to upgrade to 2.5" lines from 2 or 2.25" on the old kit.

Wow Dallas, loving the refinement you are achieving on those uprights. I'd love to get a set one day...

We had some mold mishaps and ended up wasting a bunch of time - but learning a lot as we go.

Had to redo a few molds

And we finally got a usable part!

There are a few blemishes in the layup but it's crunch time so we'll use it!

I got the 2.5" ducting parts from Racer Parts Wholesale but the car has been on the back burner due to other house/shop work. Good news is that I finally got all my welding equipment unpacked and setup.

With the 2.5" ducting, I will be making some sort of rigid 90° support/sleeve for the hose. There is no real room for play on the passenger side to let the hose move around. I will probably use cheap, aluminum, intercooler pipe and support it with aluminum angle from existing bolt holes.

I do need to get some longer brake caliper bolts though as the brake duct + nordlock washer is an extra 1/4" of depth.

got the other door off of the mold. had a coworker that has experience from aero design come over and give us a hand and a lot of pointers. the lines in the middle are from where i got froggy with the brush and dug into the mold release. lesson learned. they should sand out nicely.
