How much whp/wtq are you SM guys putting down? I have only one year of autox under my belt but can't imagine much more lag or worse throttle response.

With the 2.3l and slightly bigger BB turbo I make just under 500hp (could be over with some bigger cams and pushing boost harder but...) and I have a wider power band that starts earlier than stock turbo/block.

Also consider national style courses and nationals are most definitely faster than your local stuff. Higher average speed means less time/risk in lag.

I'm hoping that with the twinscroll 7163 and 10.5:1 compression I'll have a much better powerband and response than a stock turbo 2.0 setup.

Back in 2013 when I was running a 2.3 with a ported JB BBK Full, I was hitting peak boost (33.5psi) at 3300ish, and making peak torque (440wtq on a Mustang) at about 3800 IIRC. You could never get that out of a stock turbo 2.0 setup, and I ran the stock turbo on a 2.3, but it's just not enough turbo. I had peak torque at 3900, and peak power around 5000, falling off drastically beyond that.

It should come on a little quicker than this. Should be a good setup for you.

Yeah, I've been keeping my eye on that thread. He's got some impressive numbers, limiting the turbo to only 25psi, and without e85 at that. Looks pretty promising.

Don't worry, you're already first in that line.

At some point we'll need to do a ride swap. Similar parts, different approach.

Don't mind me, i'm just here collecting a trophy nearly every event on a near stock X in SM and ASP. This really opened up my eyes as far as how my local competition stacks up to other regions though lol. On a side note, i love the X compared to my old 8 on course. Cant wait to see what it does this year dropping 400lbs and taking full advantage of the SM rules.

What region do you run with? I was off last year but will be out again this year. Likely at Philly, NEPA, NNJR and WDCR events here and there between national events.

Not ACD in tcase, but the center diff in the trans. It was the center support for the spider gear shafts. Jacks had one. Will be here in a few days.

TRE has those. I had to buy a spider gear set from Jon when he rebuilt my trans. He found some cracks on them with the magnaflux machine.
