Powder Coating
Hello all. I don't get on here near as much as I used to. The last meet I attended was MOD last year. I do miss the scene. I stay very busy with my job. I have been working on a side business for some time now. These are my wheels I powder coated last week. It is quite rewarding seeing the parts transform as the powder starts to flow in the oven. Just wanted to share!

How well will your powder coating handle extreme heat? i was told to be careful.
I went with a more basic blue to be safe and its still fine 80k miles later. .
Not to mention some MSR hot lapping w/temps of 900+

It depends on what temperatures you are talking about. Cold sides of turbos are coated all the time and the powder coating holds up without issue. The hot side is a different story. Engine blocks and many other parts can be coated as well. The coating would not hold up on exhaust components.

I highly recommend Justin, I'm the owner of the now gold CR Kai's and can't tell you how great they look, the pictures can't give you a full appreciation of the subtle shine in the sun or the sparkle in the coating.
