Shaft play.

So I'm hearing this sound randomly. It's like spinning metal but faint. It's not the belt. I turned off the AC and it's still there randomly. Maybe the alternator, the turbo shaft play.

No video and I can't find a good one in the internet.

Car is 45k 2008 garage queen. Not racing at all.

I heard the turbo is 5years/50k miles only. I know I have the extended warranty.

Cobb is near I will do an oil change and let them check it.

99% identical hopefully it's just the belt and not the turbo. I think I will do the recall for that belt/pulley. But mine is not continuous like that.

Factory powertrain warranty is 5/60 from purchase date/mileage. What is your extended warranty coverage?

Have you replaced the serpentine belt and pulleys yet?

Pulleys/belts was done by Cobb. Now the sound is back and it is random. I noticed that when I applied my breaks it's gone. I checked the pads and it is very thin. So I think it's the brakes. Do Evo Dynamics do resurfacing of rotors? Rotors are flat but there is a lip.

Check your thickness.

OReilly resurfaces rotors for around $14 each if there is enough meat left on them.
