Well, in CT we have Pruven Performance. Unfortunately, I can't say I recommend them, I know ppl who drive DSMs and hate them ,a dn I myself have tried calling them and left messages with no return calls.
PRO: Victor Research... They specialize in DSM's but work on Evo's all the time. They also do anything with other cars too... They do VERY PROFESSIONAL work and the guys down there are great! Don't just take my advise, call them and talk to them, or take a trip over there.
They teamed up with Bistol Dyno and now have a Twin 248/248 AWD Dynojet. (I believe there are only 3 of these in the US)... Great guys, Professional work, 110% Customer service. (860)282-RACE ...give em a call. You won't be disappointed.
...Also, for those of you who might knock me for posting about these guys, because you may not have heard of them... I was talking to the owner: Aaron Victor, and they don't bother investing hundreds of thousands of dollars into their own car to compete with other BIG guys. Instead they just make smaller investments and are happy with sponsering ppl they know and will do with 9's, 10's.... No need to invest 1/4mill, 1/2mill in a 1G to compete with Shep, etc... too much financial liabilty, when they have just as much fun helping customers and running still fast times.
again, call em!!
860-282-RACE
I know their website lacks a little, but you can read about some of the guys, etc...

TurboTrix.
Depending on where in Westchester you are, the drive into NJ isn't that bad. Once you clear the GW bridge and area you should be fine.
Of course, it's best to make the trip during off-peak hours.
I still service my Acura TL at Curry Acura in Scarsdale, and the trip takes me about 1 hour to 1.5 hours door to door on Saturdays.
TurboTrix is also further north than where I live, so you can knock off another 15-20 minutes on the drive from Scarsdale.
Good luck.

I got my cams, hotside, header, o2 housing, and intake installed there....great work, no problems.
The most well-known shops (as mentioned before) are Turbotrix in NJ, and Pruven in CT. I think Al is available to tune almost every day during the business week, excluding tuning trips. Sean Ivey is also in NJ.

Check out Sean at
IveyLeagueTuning
or
Ross at
RIPP Modifications
Both do FINE work on Evo / DSM
Next time you ask me to kindly do something.
How about letting me do it myself, OK?
