Garage Auto Hero in Woodinville did the rears on my MS3. He does it by hand with a heat gun and a rubber mallet, and it turned out great. 80 bucks for the rears.

Thanks for the info, set up to have rears rolled by Garage Auto Hero ($40/corner). CarNutz wanted $60/corner.

Bel Kirk in Kirkland, they cut fenders which is better than rolling.

Dang prices from CarNutz went way up! The $25 was quoted two years ago though.

James, how much did BelKirk charged? I agree cutting is better than rolling.

Do they paint or treat the metal after they cut though? Reason I decided on rolling over shaving was concerns about exposing the metal to the elements. Besides as long as the end result is being able to run the size tires you want, why would cutting be better than rolling?

You are changing the original mold of the metal and thus weakening the structural integrity.

I shaved mine, theres still 1/8" lip there and just used a paint pen to go over it after. Then put a little underbody spray (by brush) on the lip. It might weaken that area a bit but that doesn't mean anything unless your in a wreck. Chadwick (CBRD) told me how to shave them. It's not any better than rolling just easier for me.

Are you trying to talk me out of rolling my fenders because I might someday need that .0001% body rigidity to protect me in a crash?

Really?

Guess we should all sell our Evos and buy Volvos.
