Transmission Silicone Sealants

I am hoping to get an answer to a puzzling question regarding the colour of the silicone sealants typically used by Mitsubishi on its transmission gaskets. Perhaps someone can help me.

My transmission blew and took my car to a Mitsubishi dealership to get looked at and fixed because it's still under warranty. However, the service manager said that the silicone sealant on the transmission was a different colour than the one typically used by the Mitsubishi Manufacturer. This sent a "red flag" to the service mechanic and I was told that the transmission was tampered with and that affected the warranty. I refused to accept their reasoning and pushed for further investigation. After much discussion, they are now in the process of dropping and inspecting the transmission to determine if the fix is under warranty (at my expense, may I add). In the meantime I did much research and calling transmission specialists regarding the issue of the colour of the sealant, and I was told that the colour of the sealant really does not matter, the problem lies within the transmission itself. Then I saw a picture of a transmission with the same colour sealant as mine on Google Images which I traced to Jacks Transmissions.com. And, just recently, we saw a 2010 Endeavor at parking lot and decided to take a look at the sealant colour of its transmission and it's the same colour as ours!

What is or are the colours that Mitsubishi Motors uses on its transmissions? Does the year and make of the car change the colour of the sealant?

Are they jerking me around or just finding some loophole so that they don't have to fix my transmission under warranty?

Can anyone out there shed some light on this? Desperate to hear.
