Rim thread.

I have not yet seen a thread on rims. It seems on the OS most are getting the 18's. I unfortunately have 16's, but with some nice Toyo Open Country AT's.
I am curios on what everyone is running! I am planning on picking up a good set of some more rough terrain style rims, such as in the pics. I'd love to achieve the look of this guys Tacoma.
Like I said, lets see what you have, or what you want!

I have the Volk TE37's on my outlander sport, I tried to post a pic but it said it was already in another thread.
I think I am going to do something like this on my rims.

i like those. You going with the split color too? That's what I love about the car. It can be pulled in so many different directions. That's what happened to my Jetta haha.

What wheel arches are you using? are they specifically for your Jetta or are they universal.

have you tried them out on the outlander sport?

They are universals from eBay. Made from a poly fiberglass. Just had to measure the correct lower A-B measurement and make sure the arch on the car is not too "U" shaped so the fiberglass can take form. You do have to cut about 1/4" off of the original body work and drill holes into the body. Un-reversible. I added some of the body-stick trim that you see on door jams to the upper to create a good seal. No plans yet to put them on the OS. I will probably go with the OEM ones.

You know, I dont think so. I must of been pretty excited when I saw those haha. If I do pull the trigger on them, I will probably trim them at the part where they mate with the black lower panels. Are the newer 13-14's a bigger body? I have a 12' and very curious.....

not sure but the Mitsubishi site says the wheel arches will not fit 2011 or 2012, the ones on the Jetta would look good on the O.S. as well....

Thinking about grabbing 4 Pro Comp 98 Series Rock Crawler rims. Can get them on eBay for about 300$ for all 4. They are 16x7, OEM is 16x6.5, tire shop should be able to put stock tires on though. Any thoughts? Tips? Any one familiar with a small stretch in tires? Thanks guys
