I sent a guy some OEM ones and he opened them up for me and install an LED bulb in them for me. I did the same for my RA, i opened them up its just a 168/194 bulb. He's a retrofitter so he did a cleaner job than what i could have done lol. Name is Brad Mirfin hes on all the FB evo pages/sell pages.

A little engine bay love with the dress engine bolt kit from Andrew. These are grade 10.9 stainless steel with a blue zinc coating including the longer strut tower bolts. Ordered extra for the rear struts as well. Some CF engine pieces would match very well.

in looking at lighting for my other car, i've learned that the higher you go up the color scale, the lower the output. 8000k HID's probably put out around the same or less than a regular headlight bulb.

the stock HID's on my car are 4300k, which maximizes the output. i'd imagine the OS is the same or close. Cool colors include bluish whites, blues and indigo shades. They have higher Kelvin ratings than warm colors. HID lamps with cool colors will produce less usable light than bulbs with warmer colors.

i was recommended 5000k for a cool white light that still puts out a decent amount of lumens.

Unbolted the muffler and removed the resonator. Replaced with short piping angled down behind the crossmember. Nothing too crazy. Gives it a nice tone. Full exhaust is a longs way away lol

the SE has oem projectors. i just replaced the OEM bulb with an 8K bulb. mine werent equipped with the regular sylvania 4300k, they had the sylvania xenarc 5k bulbs in them which gave a more blue hint output was great which i would higlhy recommend if you like. light output doesnt seem to be affected that much especially when you can adjust the beam. just wanted a little more blue hint

8000K is brighter (more annoying to other drivers), but it puts less light on the road.

4300k D2S Philips = 3200lm (lumens)
4300k D2R Philips = 2800lm (lumens)
4300k D2S Philips = 2400lm (lumens) actually 5800k
4300k D2R Philips = 2000lm (lumens) actually 5800k
4800k D4S/R (brand) = 3800 (lumens) ** brightest in the market
5800k D4S/R (brand) = 3300 (lumens)
7000k D2S other = 1790lm (lumens) *(other bulb brand)
7000k D2R other = 1390lm (lumens) *(other bulb brand)
8000k D2S other = 1180lm (lumens) *(other bulb brand)
8000k D2R other = 780lm (lumens) *(other bulb brand)

"Higher than 8000k, the light output significantly drops off, causing the light to be almost useless.

Very nice!
Welcome to the OS forum section.

That short straight pipe is surprisingly quiet actually in your vid.

Yeah it's not loud at all very subtle . For 50 bucks a little noise and weight reduction
