Engine all put together now will be sent in the freight to do engine swap hopefully around 2 - 3 days but pretty much fine now. So also picked up my new turbo setup today too which consists of Kinugawa TD06-20g turbo with billet actuator, 3" o2 housing, ported and gasket matched manifold, and heat shields top and front toward radiator all in all a good buy second hand but really good nick only done approx. 7000kms $1100nzd for the lot. will add pics real soon. All I want to do now is get an aftermarket throttle body then get it all in with the new engine.

An update guys...

My engine is in finaly..

Evo 8 Forged Block
Evo 7 cylinder head
All fully rebuilt

Am currently running it in and have also completed that lol done 1100kms in 2 days and it ran like a dream on 10psi boost engine is noticeably more vibration due to no balance shafts but no biggy really...

am running all the std parts for the run in period but am about to get it back in the dyno tuners shop for full dyno tune am hoping for atleast 300kw (420) at the wheels.

I got the front bumper repainted and the rear spoiler also installed fog light covers and a new front lip for spoiler car is looking great may have to repaint the rest now as it makes the rest look shabby.

Am going to install a pod filter rather then cold air box
New Rear diff mounts as bushes are absolutely shredded
install Kinugawa anti surge 20g turbo should be interesting
3" dump pipe
new intercooler
under hood shift bushes
Full dyno tune

Will post dyno results here and probably a video also to go with it.

Cheers Guys.

question - was the evo iv ecu plug and play on your evo iv? or did your tuner take care of some wiring job as well when he did the swap?

Hey guys thopught better put up an update has come to hault at mo basically have changed rear diff bushes to polyurethane powerflex ones old ones were shattered have run the engine in, installed new intercooler, 3 inch dump pipe, ported gasket matched exhaust manifold, installed k and n pod filter rather then the arc cold air box, id1000cc fuel injectors, purchased kinugawa td06-sl2r-20g turbo and has gone kaput I think done full pressure test everywhere i have no boost leaks whatsoever yet could only get 14psi on car out of the turbo... only made 192kw so serious problem there think either wheel damage or possibly something worse definitely turbo as tried a new wastegate actuator and didnt change a thing also bench tested the actuators as they have 1.2bar springs and were fine so must be turbo big upset only thing stopping it getting on that dyno.

Very bad news went to dyno yesterday and same thing as with kinugawa turbo would not boost over 190kw thought no something stuffed with engine did compression test and hello 130 120 140 130 no good at all called engine builder he didnt believe me so did leakdown test and great its leaking out at exhaust valves ******* so now need pull head out and my bet is engine builder forgot to bleed lifters so not my week AGAIN lol beware of guys doing engines at home learnt my lesson there will stick with a mechanic garage next time.
