shaved bay and change of plans "need MOAR" thread

so my car is already built to the nutz on its 2nd setup (only stock part left is the timing belt assembly) so its a little late for a FULL build thread. but once again winter set in again and i got the itch to make my evo even better. so ill start with a little past history of the evo

heres last years picture of the car

heres my setup 2 years ago

the "basic" mod list
pte 6262
full race replica manifold
buschur 2.3
shep drivetrain
3" exhaust
stock tb
Bc 272
e85
act 6 puck
pte 1600s
buscher back door front mount
40psi made 708hp 609 ft lbs

now years last years setup

.

changes in setup

less10 FF manifold
3 1/2" exhaust
gsc s2
bigger buscher ic
honda half rad

had local friend touch up tune
"butt dyno says it picked up 30 hp"

then i went to the drag strip and ran slower times than stock turbo and 2.3 ( no slicks)
my stock dampening pulley sheered off and
then this happend

which led to me pulling the motor back out again so i decided to put in some hours in my engine bay and do a shaved/ repainted half tucked bay and get some new go fast goodies which entails

6466
bigger tb
2150's
quartermaster twin disk
better half radiator
ABS delete
painted brakes and cusco bolt in cage to match valve cover
triple breather "race" catch can setup
3 -10 fittings tapped into valve cover
1 stm -12 fitting in old balance shaft hole
fuid dampr crank pulley
kiggly hla
ditch my tein basics and get JIC mullerized coils
re loom my ghetto tucked harness with the braided loom

so here is my progress on that

only thing left to get is the kiggly hla and the 6466 and radiator

will post more pictures along the way

Looks good so far. You should have rotated the brake booster 180 degrees so the vacuum line to the intake manifold would be "tucked".

well a little update.

got most the car back together.
just need fluids and a power bleeder.
got the 6466 installed, bought a sweet little filter for it. new brake lines mounted and the wire harness re loomed with that braided like sleeve loom (instead of the old plastic junk).

got my -12 an breather fitting from the old balance shaft hole ran ( wow what a task)

now just for a better radiator and to finish tig welding up my catch can

ill have more updated pictures of that. and of everything installed to come.

then maybe i can get her out of the garage and pull out my new camera and take some better all around photos of the car here a few cell phone pics of current stage

.

There is something about looking at pictures of super clean engine bays that satisfies my OCD.

Great job! I look forward to seeing what it puts down in the 1/4 mile.

I got mine from STM. But I think other places like jegs carry it aswell.
2 of the 2x2 pieces is enough.. but I bought a 1x1 aswell for my oil pan where the dp comes by.

Thanks for the compliments guys! Little more odds and ends then hide a few more hoses once they get hooked up and she should look a little better.
