Those wheels look sharp man. Any other plans for it?

Plenty of plans...lol. Just need to hit a jack pot or the lotto...haha.

But as budget allows, I would like to follow this path:

Upgrades for the stock brakes: racing brake 2pc rotors and racing brake stainless caliper pistons.
Racefab Oil pan
Ohlins R/T's, the stance coilovers are not very good.
Safety: Auto power 4-point race roll bar, harnesses, and a driver seat.
At this point, I would like to do a front brake upgrade if the upgraded OEM's aren't enough, like the Essex parts AP racing setup.
Aero (APR or Voltex rear wing and front splitter).

One all that is sorted, hopefully the motor has lasted that long and it will get a 2.2L (94mm 4g63) build with all of the goodies, billet crank, carillo rods, 9:1 pistons, ported head/intake mani/TB. New exhaust manifold, etc. The goal for the motor build will be to make 450whp, and make more torque, as well as make that torque 500-700rpm's sooner. I may also experiment with a 4.31 final drive once the motor is built. I am really hoping the motor last through the factory brake upgrades, Ohlins, and safety stuff.

I wouldn't mind doing the motor before aero mods, and before the brake upgrade if the stock calipers prove to work well with the racing brake parts.

Just ordered 17x10 +38 rpf1's and appropriate spacers to replace the orange wheels. Didn't feel comfortable using them again after the issues at that the last track day.

Are the RPF1's getting a color change?

They will later on. Spending $1k on a new set of wheels, and $200 on spacers to make them fit doesn't exactly make me want to run out and spend another $400 on powdercoat LOL.

It went ok, car did fine the first two sessions. Had two pretty big mistakes that led to two pretty awesome saves, bummed I forgot the SD card for the gopro. Third session when I started really pushing it, the motor started running hot. Water temp above 230, and after the session the oil light was flickering at idle in the pits, even after a cool down lap. So I didn't go out in the fourth session, and I didn't go back on Sunday like I had planned too. The car needs cooling system upgrades, and it will get them. Racefab 7qt baffled oil pan, MAP oil cooler kit that uses a setrab cooler, and likely a CBRD radiator. And that should take care of it. Tires probably have one or two track days left in them.

How was the turbo response on the track? How is the setrab cooler better than the stock unit? Is it just bigger? Glad you had a successful day and hope you sort out the cooling issues.

The turbo is awesome on track. 24psi down, then 22.5-23psi from 5500-8000. Pulls very well from 4k up. Transient response is pretty good. Data logging shows about a .4 second boost recovery on shifts, and transient response is great as well.

Been awhile since updates. Standby for some track pics from 2017 and early January, and a blown motor this past weekend.

Welp, pics won't upload form my phone. So, I'll get them off the laptop tonight I guess.

Hey Sean

In your opinion, what happened? Is the block ruined or did the oil pan bleed the oil?

Curious to see where you will go from here
