2.4LR S366 Forward Facing in the works
Hey all,
Got started on this build a couple months ago. Of course I started with some research way before that, but just started gathering parts for it recently. In addition to posting a build thread for everyone to check out, I'd like to get some additional input on parts, upgrades, recommendations, etc. My goals are to break into the 700hp range, a streetable car, that can travel an hour or two on occasion (a stretch?). Below is a parts list. See what you think and shoot some advise my way if you like.

All I'm going to do is drag strip and occasional cruise to let it feel the breeze. The nearest strip is 1.5 hours away with the next one being 2.5hrs. Driving there will have to suffice until I'm able to get a proper tow setup. I'm trying to stay as far as possible from Mexico because of obvious reasons. No autoX or any track what so ever because, well, the setup isn't any good for that.
In your opinion, is an oil cooler really necessary knowing what I'll be using this car for? Even at highway speeds, with ks speed limits being 65mph, I don't see it ever going past 3k rpm for any longer than a few seconds. I drive like a grandma lol

Heres a quote from a OC delete debate thread that noted the following. Not saying its all fact but something to consider. Personally I would run an alum upgraded cooler on a built motor for added engine cooling
local here had good data on an eclipse for eliminating oil cooler. 190 temp with cooler on the interstate one hour drive. same trip 230 without cooler. this was an eclipse and the oil cooler is half the size of an evo. I use the evo oil cooler cause its the biggest best I found. I have half radiator and half condenser honda style. a/c blows ice cold in florida. never overheats. dont think this would be possible without a large oil cooler supplementing the half radiator.

OK so I'm getting a little out of hand with finding "good deals" on different parts! Switching from s366 to EFR 9174 1.05ar. Still twinscroll of course but this one is ball-bearing, with a speed sensor and bov, external wastegate. And an aluminum cbe from STM.
I blame the machine shop mostly because if they didn't take so long, I wouldn't have time tovrun across good deals lol
