Small update! Got a couple Tomei goodies to make the bay look a little nicer. I've got some more stuff coming soon too

I also thought it would be cool to share some pics of one of the exhausts my friend's shop made. Custom Ti exhaust for an S2000, hand-made muffler. Total car **** for me

Ti exhaust... want. So expensive though! That heat shield looks good, I may have to buy one. Tomei makes good stuff.

Yeah Ti Isn't cheap but it's a wonder metal...I had one of their Ti exhausts on my Honda and I was like 9 pounds and never looked anything other than brand new!

And yeah a lot of the stuff Tomei sells is pretty good. The Heatshield really made the engine bay look better, and wasn't that expensive either. Now I just have to restore the valve cover and think about replacing the ugly stock charge pipe....

Friends: "Hey Alex, what are you going to do with the Evo?"
Me: "I'm just going to leave it alone, it's great near-stock and I don't really want to spend any money on it"

Yeah I knew me wanting to leave everything alone wouldn't last long!

Here's a pic of the intercooler installed. Also removed the awful painted red emblem the previous owner had with a new OEM one, and took off the front grille he did a poor job of spray painting.

The clean up project is coming well with this guy! I still need to trade my Seibon hood for an OEM one though, and I'm eventually going to replace what I think is a Rexspeed Lip with a base OEM lip if I can find one, or an SE lip The best part is that the car is in fantastic mechanical condition, still has not burned one drop of oil since I have had it!

Directed here by an email I got -

" 'I want it to be like OEM+' Are the famous last words of users embarking upon their build. Welcome to EvolutionM, awhit17."

Car's looking cleaner and thank you for eliminating that awful chartreuse.

Thanks guys! Every step that gets this car closer to where it should be is awesome! The grille and intercooler made a big positive visual difference. I also just ordered rotors, pads and lines for the car, and I will be refinishing the caliper paint and replacing a CV axle when doing the brake job. I was going to do a different color for the brembos initially, but after thinking it over a little I think I'm going to stick with the OEM dark red. I'm itching to get this car back to the mountains soon though, the only thing better than fixing the cosmetics is driving it

Put this on today! So much better than the stock MR knob, which I felt was too big and pretty ugly looking with the sticker
