2006 TB IX SE, Super Clean, 54k miles, Reasonable $ - Chicagoland Area
Up for sale is our super clean TB 2006 IX SE located in the NW burbs of Chicagoland. I intended to keep this car forever but I picked up a fully built X last year and the wife & I just don’t have enough space for 3 vehicles.
Background:
We purchased this car from from the original California owner in November of ’07. It was originally purchased in July ’07 so the first owner only had it for about 4 months. It was bone stock when purchased it with only about 5,600 miles. It was stored the first few winters and has been my daily driver on my short commute (5 miles) thus the low miles.
The car has been babied its entire life and never launched, dragged, or tracked in any way. I am an old guy around these parts (44!) and very particular about my cars. The car has a clean title and has not been in an accident or incident of any kind.
The majority of work done on this car was performed at AMS including the turbo install, cams, and tune. Some of the other work (clutch, exhaust) was done by Strictly Modified. Mechanically the car runs perfect. There’s just a few relatively minor issues (details below) which I don’t have time to fix since getting a promotion at work.

- GSC stage 1 cams
- ETS 3.5” FMIC

- AMS TBE w/ test pipe
- AEM gauges
- Exedy HD twin disc clutch (less than 5k miles)
- Perrin short shifter
- Genesis mini battery
- 35% tint all around
- Brand new set of OEM floor mats (not shown)
The car put down 350whp on the AMS dyno on a hot day.
Known Issues:
- ACD pump is bad (3 lights on) but still drives perfect. Was quoted $674 to fix this with a rebuilt pump by a local reputable shop.
- SES comes on occasionally due to lack of cat/misfire (the car passed Illinois emissions no problem)
- There’s a small scratch on the driver’s side door and some very fine scratches on the side of the wing.
Price:
$20,950. The price is firm. If I had time to fix all the issues it would be priced in the $23k area. You will not find a cleaner, well built, accident free, low mileage, IX SE for anywhere near that price. My last IX MR sold in less than 24 hours since I try to price my cars very competitively. Note: I will not hold the car without a cash deposit. Willing to ship as well (logistics and expense handled by buyer).
I also have an extra set of SE BBS wheels with Bridgestone Blizzaks available for $800 extra (very clean, minimal curb rash, at least one more winter left on the tires).

Autocheck and carfax have different reports. Carfax doesn't report everything. Just a tip for you when you buy your next car. Check them both. You will be surprised.
i have autocheck and just checked the vin, everything is fine and no accidents reported at all.. great car really clean, glws man i wish i can afford it. bump for a local chicagoland evo lover as well. i live really close to wheeling i wish i had the funds, sadly my budget is a little short of 20k nonetheless good luck should sell fast!
