FS: 1 EVO8-9 Bilstein MR front strut only (Broken) $50 shipped
I just recently bought a set of 4 of these struts and springs for my EVO VIII GSR with 40,000miles on them after removing my coilovers for added ground clearance on job sites. When installing the 4 struts and springs I didn't check the torque spec for every stud in the assembly, only some of them. (Rookie move) So as you can see, this 1 out of the 4 got its strut spindle snapped off at the top by an impact wrench. (The strut did ride perfect, making no noise before I decided to retighten the bolts after the springs have sat) The torque spec from the Bilstein dealership is 33ft/lbs. (Not 80ft/lbs) I've heard that Bilstein will rebuild these for short money. I did try welding it and it does hold up but I'm scared to drive it on my long commute. So, if you have a blown or totally destroyed front strut and have the time to ship this out or fix it, it is definitely a money saver. I on the other hand need my car for work since it is my daily driver so I was forced to overnight a brand new Bilstein strut for $270. (Just the strut)
I'm asking $50 shipped and I am located in East Bridgewater, MA. Let me know if you are interested. You can PM, call, or text me anytime at 774-836-5377.
Thanks again guys,
Dean
