Interesting. Does this help much? and is this the only way to do this mod? I mean, can't you just leave out the oil cooler thermostat?

I no longer run an oil cooler. This is the only way to eliminate the factory thermostat and it runs the car much cooler.

Bump for a nice mod for the warmer climates and track day cars.

?

Isn't it ideal to let the car come up to temperature quickly by using the thermostat and then once warm the thermostat stays open? (At least this is how it works with the 911s.) I am not sure why one would want to remove the thermostat, unless it has a tendency to stay partially closed.
