KYB Fronts and stock rears wraped with Tein S Tech's Springs and the ride is awesome you could not ask for a better Daily driver setup.

You nailed it.
On Monroe's website they say for the rear the body of the Eclipse shock is 5.5 inches longer than the Lancer's even though they have a similar amount of travel.
For the front, the Eclipse strut body is 2 inches longer than the Lancer's and the Eclipse has 5.75 inches of travel versus the Lancer's 8 inches.
Back to Koni or other inserts.

Nevermind

Well, looks like it's a no-go. The springs need to be changed with the struts and the upper bolt mount is different to facilitate camber bolts. Oh well, GR-2's all around, then.

Go to Monroe.com and compare there. They have specs like body length, extended length, stroke etc. They do not have valving and such though so damping could be different although dimensionally similar.

The part numbers for the Excel-G line are available through KYB's online catalog. You can compare the Sportback to Sedan models and see if they are the same part number. If so, chances are good that the GR-2 uses the same part numbers between the two cars as well.
