Mitsubishi teases mystery reveal ahead of Geneva
It's a sad reality that the common joe wants the only performance in a car to be its fuel maximization. There just aren't enough of us that want Evo's / STI nowadays. In the city that I'm from, there's a on going trend for younger kids to take busses right after high school with an unlimited bus riding pass as part of the college tuition. Our city mayor has torn down full car lanes and put in its place bike lanes right into the heart of downtown as well as getting your car Ticketed and towed for 7 days and up to $2k in fines and fees if you go over 40km/h the speed limit.
I'm thankful that we go the Evo X as the last salute to the whole model line up, as I'm not anticipating a XI. If the next model comes out with the name "Evo" you can be sure that it's going to be a hybrid.

You should be anticipating an XI, and they said it would be a hybrid...this isn't speculation anymore....I'm not sure why that matters. At the end of the day, if it performs better than it's predecessors, I'll be happy...and if it does that while getting better fuel economy, that's icing on the cake.

Eh, not like you'd be missing much. Mitsu has always had a half-assed showing at NAIAS. They tried a *bit* harder when the X was launching, but otherwise, they have just grabbed some random cars from a local dealer and parked them on some carpet. Last year they only had the MiEV there. If they were there this year they'd still have nothing new/interesting to show.

the only mitsu's i have ever liked are the AWD Turbo's everything else has kinda suxed, my buddy's family had a galant and a monterro both fell apart in a few years. My evo and former lancer though never have fallen apart( i assume the lancer didn't it was sold years ago).
Mitsu needs better quality to be taken seriously, i remember when i sold used cars every automatic 90's mitsu had trans issues.

They should make a new eclipse based on the next lancer chassis. The outlander and lancer are the best cars Mitsubishi makes right now.
I too would hate to see them fall out of the US. Plus they do make so many other things that I wouldnt understand why they would pull just that part out but I could see it happening. Just hope it doesnt
