Vendor Bashing

The Drag racing thread was trashed. For the members please read the site rule concerning vendor bashing:

No bashing vendors, shops, or other websites without just cause. evolutionm.net reserves the right to determine when just cause has been proven, so all complaints should be sent to our staff for evaluation. If you don't like it and haven't talked to our staff about it, don't post.

No more warnings, no more deleted post. Your account will be disabled for 1 week for the first offense. If you create a second account while in timeout, your account will be disabled forever. If you have a beef with a vendor then FIX it like every other customer in America does. Talk to the vendor or take them to court. Do not try and use Evom for vengeance or attacks or any other stupid reason to disrupt our forums.

To the vendors: The bashing by members is not going to stop until some of you elevate you behavior above that of a bar room brawl. I do not know of one professional organization were success includes calling your customer names and fighting publicly with other vendors. If you want this crap to stop, it starts with you. Flaming post will be deleted and warnings issued.

The moderators are being dragged into the middle of this BS and we are tired of it. It we have to ban 50 members to clear this mess up, and then so be it. We will be better off with out them.

Agreed! It has become difficult to actually learn anything on here anymore with all of the fighting! Great job mods.

Can't we all just get along?!

not trying to be a smarta$$. but if you have an issue with a particular vendor and you don't voice your issues you are hurting potential customers by not letting them know how the vendor in question practices business???

I think people have the right to inform us of the GOOD AND THE BAD experiences with vendors or shops, but most people just like to talk smack for no reason.

The issue is bashing not "discussing" problems with a vendor. Bringing a problem to a vendor's attention for the purpose of getting it resolved is not bashing. Calling a vendor a cheater, liar, trash etc. without any intention of resolving an issue is bashing. The worst people are the groupies who have no direct interest in the problem, just a desire to wreck our forums. They are history if they continue and they know who they are. Thanks.

I think it kinda starts with the title of this thread - only because the correct name is Turbo TRIX not "tricks"

Yes, it just seems that no one wants to hear conflicting opinions to there own. For this reason I have retired from the tuner wars on this site, that and to promote a better learning enviroment, but when asked I will give my opinion on factual matters, an opinion which is strong and unjaded.

Agreed. Don't we have a vendor "sound off" area in this forum? If you want to post about a vendor, good or bad, let's do it there. (or let's create one) Say what you want, and let members pm you if they have more questions. What we all hate is when someone who obviously dislikes a certain vender, makes it their mission in life to let us know in every freakin thread started by, or mentioning that vendor.

We heard you. You don't like them. We understand. Mismanaged, poorly run enterprises will be crushed under the weight of their own neglect.

Fair point. That was the original title of the thread, not mine. I'm going to move this to the Feedback forum with the title Vendor Bashing. If all you want to do is ad one liners "here we go again" comments, please step away from the keyboard. Thanks.

The vendors are at a disadvantage. One customer can claim they were cheated or screwed and the vendor has little chance to correct the problem as their response is lost in the noise of the peanut gallery. And it hurts the membership. That chorus of BS prevents members from understanding the issues concerning a vendor. Every vendor here knows there will be problems and wants to address and fix them. Give them a chance.

Some have created second accounts for “drive by” flames. We have resolved those IP’s and email addresses. Mark is planning to file formal complaints with companies whose servers are being used to spam our site. We are going to accord the chronic bashers the same respect they have given us, It is much easier to disable an account than spend hours (literally) going through reported posts and trailing some loudmouth all over the site deleting their droppings.

problematic members find ways to take even the most sincere threads off-topic.
