Hey Jeremiah,
Welcome aboard, I am in Lafayette, about an 1 1/2 hrs. south of you. There are about 4 or 5 other Louisiana Evo owners that post here also. So far there has not been any local gathereing are meets specific for us. However, I went to a local Autox at the end of last year and met 2 other EVO owners. We all competed in the same class. It was nice to meet other EVO enthusiasts. Maybe in the near future we could plan something where we could all get together and talk shop.

Also, I have a friend with a right hand drive 240sx that lives down the road from me might bring him along. I would really enjoy meeting everyone though.

Hi Jeremiah.
I'm Jim, live about 60 miles south of you and about 40 miles NW of Rovman. I'm one of the two other Evo drivers he mentioned meeting at the Lafayette autox.
Hey Steven, you back in the country? PM me an email addy and I'll share the Snapfish album with all my pictures from the TLAC event.
Our region's autox season is fixing to start up again in a little over a month with out first event at Burton Colesium in Lake Charles on March 7th and two weeks later our TLAC event at the Grand Casino Coushatta Pavillion parking lot on March 20/21st. (Can we say rematch Steven? 2/10 of a second, Jeez!! )
We also have a monthly meeting the second Thursday of every month (Feb. 12th this month) at Big Daddy's Smokehouse and Grill in Lake Charles and guests are more than welcome. Bar-B-Que, Beer and bench racing.
Let me know if anyone needs any more info.

Yeah, you were in the white Evo, right?
I thought the name sounded familiar, but I thought you said you were from east Texas or something like that. Maybe I had too much beer that night.
If you're still at the same address that you put on your entry form for that event our Activities Chairman Rob Snider will be sending you a flyer for all upcoming events.
You can also check out our web site at

I know Lake Charles is kinda far to drive just to go to a meeting but let me know if you want directions.

Hey guys,
We have 2 other EVO guys in Lafayette. Me and volunteer. His brother is sponsoring an Import Drag / Track day in april (12?) at no problem. usualy a good turn out. Lots of New Orleans guys all differnt imports. EVOs killed em all on the track last year. It rained so the drag strip got closed and everyone ran the road coarse. Lots of fun.
I'll post more when the race gets closer.

Jeremiah, the directions to Big Daddy's are as follows.
Take the 210 Loop through Lake Charles and get off at the Enterprise Blvd. exit. Turn right (if you're coming from the east) and immediately get over to the left turning lane and turn left on E. Prien Lake Road.
Travel west for several blocks, Turn right on Commons Street and it's about a block or so on the right.
Will try to attach a MapQuest image.

Forgot to mention the time.
We usually get there around 7pm to eat, drink and bs and the meeting starts at 8pm.
Second Thursday of each month except for January when we have our annual awards banquet instead.
Guest are welcome, so if any of you guys from Lafayette want to drop by too feel free.

when do yall meet up and where.
Jeremiah,
I'm the second black Evo running around Lafayette, I work with Chris/Cajunpower who has the other black Evo. I met up with Jim today in Lafayette, by the way Jim it was damn nice to meet you. I will try to start meeting up with Jim and his guys for the road course events and the meeting if I can out in Lake Charles. I won't make the one on March 7th, but Jim mentioned the March 20 something for the next. I'll be there. Also my brother puts on two races a year out at No Problem Raceway on the other side of Baton Rouge the next one will be Sunday, April 18th. Big import event and always fun, like Chris said above the guy who showed up last year and ran his on the wet road course sold me on mine. That said I hope meet up with everyone soon. I'll post the flyer here for the April 18th race if anyone is interested.

Hey Larry, Jim here.
Great meeting you too.
Was seriously considering going to NPR to watch the races and then I checked our schedule.
The second TLAC hosted by CENLA region is on April the 18th so I'll be over at Lamar-Dixon Expo Center in Gonzales dodging cones that day.
Jeremiah, Rob said he sent you the flyer for our first event on the 7th, hope you make it.
That goes for all you guys in Lafayette too. Volunteer said he couldn't make but Cajun Power and Rovman are most welcome.
Later guys.
